Altenew Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a bright floral card I created with the new Altenew Build-A-Flower Snapdragon stamps and dies! The set is one of the beautiful layering sets by Altenew: you can create some really gorgeous cards with it, and it’s perfect for those who don’t love to color as well!
This post is part of a blog hop with giveaways – you will find more details at the end of this post, but now let’s have a look at how I created this card!
I started by stamping my snapdragons on some Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock. Using a stamp positioning tool like the Mini MISTI makes getting your layers well aligned super easy!  This card also gave the the opportunity to try my new Altenew Inks, and I LOVE them! So bright and juicy!

I used the Spring Bouquet Mini Ink set, which is a great value and has all the inks you need to build your layers with the Build-A-Flower Snapdragon stamps. Alternatively, you can get the Build-A-Flower Snapdragon in a bundle with some more gorgeous mini inks. I stamped the larger flower once and the smaller once twice, and then die cut them all with the coordinating dies. You can watch the whole process in the video tutorial that I have linked down below.

Next, I created an ombre background using the Altenew Watercolors over some Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock. I added interest to the panel by creating some white and blue droplets. I layered it with some black cardstock and mounted it on my card base.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder over some black cardstock. I cut the cardstock into a small banner and rounded the corners with my WeR Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.
As a finishing detail I added Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew to my card front – I really love the subtle detail of clear drops on floral cards!
As I mentioned earlier on, I have a video tutorial for you, showing how I created this card with the Altenew Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon stamps and dies. You can watch it down below or directly on my YouTube channel.

And now it’s time for giveaways!

I love the blue color you used as the background. Makes the flowers just pop off the page. The clear dots also make it look like water which is a cool effect. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for video. I am visual learner and prefer seeing the card created rather than just described. Love the vibrant contrast of the hot pink snapdragons and the aquarium background. Beautiful card!
