Jess and Laura’s Hooray for 3K Video Hop | Summer Scene Card plus Giveaways

Hi everyone! Today is a very special day for me, because, together with my friend Jessica (a.k.a. A Card Day’s Work), we are celebrating having reached 3000 subscribers on YouTube? How? With a video hop, of course! Yay!

An amazing amount of crafters decided to hop on the bandwagon and help us celebrate, and a lot of wonderful companies decided to donate prizes for you guys! Isn’t that incredible?!

The theme for the hop is summer, so brace yourselves and get ready to be inspired!

For my card today I mixed a lot of products from different companies and created a summer scene. Mixing and matching is a really fun way to stretch your supplies and get the most out of what you have in your craft room!

For my images and the sentiment I used stamps by SugarPea Designs, Heffy Doodle and Lawn Fawn, all colored with Spectrum Noir markers. At the end of this post you will find the full supply list with picture links, if you are interested.

I created the scene using dies by Heffy Doodle and Lawn Fawn, and added color to the landscape elements with Distress Inks.

I also used stencils by Studio Katia to add details and interest to the scene, using different techniques. As you can probably tell, today I am explaining a little bit less about the cardmaking process in the post, because I really want you guys to hop along and enjoy the video!

I couldn’t resist adding some extra sparkle with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen, and some gloss with Glossy Accents by Ranger (must haves, IMHO).
