Quick and Easy Last Minute Cards for Any Occasion

How many times have you found yourself in need for a last minute greeting card, and you didn’t have one ready? The mini cards I created for the Impronte d’Autore blog are a great solution to this terrible problem! They are quick to make, and thanks to the rather generic sentiment, they can be used for pretty much any occasion.

They are also good for mass production: if you change up the subjects and the color palette, you can still create personalized cards in a very short amount of time.
Or they could  be used as lunch notes for your kids…my mom used to do leave me hand written notes before going out for work when I was a kid. I loved reading them during breakfast and taking them to school with me!

The images I used today are by Impronte d’Autore, and I quickly colored them with Nuvo markers.
I then created three bases, by die cutting some watercolor cardstock with one of the dies in the Impronte d’Autore set. I added some color with Distress Inks and the wet on wet technique.

I first wet part of the base with clean water and then added the Distress Ink pigments.
I used three different combinations: Shaded Lilac and Milled Lavender, Peacock Feathers and Dried Pistachio, and lastly Dried Marigold and Carved Pumpkin.

The sentiment die is also by Impronte d’Autore. I die cut it from more watercolor card stock and glued it as is on my bases, for a soft effect.
I added sparkle with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen (all fairies must have some shimmer, right?) and details with a white gel pen.

And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed this quick cardmaking ideas for your last minute cards!
As always thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Fantastic idea so you always have a mini stash on hand. This way you get to practice ( lots needed in my case) skin times & colour combinations. Thank you for sharing your ideas x
