One Kit Six Cards with Spellbinders August 2019 Card Kit of the Month

Hi everyone! Today I am back with six cards I created with the new, super fun Card Kit of the Month by Spellbinders. August has been a little busy for me so far, so I didn’t get around to film a video this month, and I don’t have the usual 10 cards for you – but I still hope you’ll enjoy this post and will be inspired by it!

In case you are not familiar with it, the Spellbinders kit is a kit you can subscribe to on the Spellbinders store. I have been creating with the kit for a few months, and I can tell you that the themes have always been really fun! Plus, I think it is a great value. For more information, you can visit this page.

For my first card I combined two of the designs in the patterned paper pad included in the kit. I cut one panel to 5.5 x 5.25″ and the other to 5.25×4″, and I adhered them to a card base.

I cut two strips out of the copper foiled card in the kit, and layered them with one of the memory cards, which I raised over some foam squares.

As a last step,  I glued a die cut shape with a parrot and one with a flower to the card front. And that finished off card number one.

For card number two, I played again with patterned paper, memory cards and die cut shapes.

This memory card with the sentiment stay curious really spoke to me, and I completed the sentiment with one of the stickers. This has a sentiment too, that reads beautiful minds inspire others. It is really beautiful, isn’t it?

I decorated the card front with a few die cut shapes and adhered everything to one of the card bases in the kit.

The kit also comes with a really fun stamp set, that I used on this third card. I stamped the images on white cardstock (also from the kit) and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.

I cut the images with my scissors and I adhered them to a 4×5.25″ panel of white cardstock.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set and glued everything to a white card base. And that was card number three.

This fourth card must be my favorite from the set! I love that little sloth!

Again I played with die cut shapes and patterned paper to create interest and movement on the card front.

I also added a few sequins from the kit for some extra bling! πŸ™‚

For my fifth card I used one of the larger memory cards and I trimmed it to 3.75×5″. This created a nice and colorful background for my toucan die cut shape to stand on.

I layered the background with some white card, cut to 4×5.25″,  and some patterned paper, cut to 4.25×5.5″.
The sentiment wild child was created with die cuts too.

For some extra interest, I raised the toucan and the word child on some foam squares.

For my sixt and final card I had to use the dies in the kit! These help you build the adorable sloth as well as the branch and the leaves featured in the card.

I die cut all the shapes from the colored cardstock included in the kit and adhered them on a background, that I created using another design from this month’s patterned paper collection (did I say that it is gorgeous?!).

For the sentiment I used one of the stickers, and that finished off my sixt and final card.

And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed this post and my inspiration with the Spellbinders August 2019 Card Kit of the Month!
Some of the product in the kit are also available as Club Kit Extras, which means they can be purchased separately from the subscription – you will find everything in the supply list below!
