Mama Elephant 7th Anniversary Stampede + Giveaways! | Cute Christmas Card feat The Penguin Waddle

Hello everyone and welcome to a very special Mama Elephant Design Team blog hop! We are celebrating 7 years this month with a fantastic new holiday release along with our amazing friends!

I am really honored and excited to be part of this year’s celebrations, and I really hope you will enjoy my project and the video tutorial I filmed!
Make sure to read this post until the end for more details about the project, all the promotion for Mama Elephant’s anniversary and the giveaways too!

Here is the promotional flyer for this year’s celebration. Mama Elephant added an extra freebie tier this time around!

You can shop the newest release which is LIVE in the Mama Elephant store now!
For my card today I used the new The Penguin Waddle stamp set. I love how sweet this set is and, because it is a rather large, you really just need to stamp it, color it and add a sentiment! And your card is done!

For my coloring today I used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and I added some details with a white gel pen. Make sure to check out the video down below to watch the coloring process and for a list of the markers I used.

After coloring the images, I moved on and started working on the background. I used my Distress Oxides in Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac and I blended them over some Bristol Smooth cardstock. I added some droplets with my Perfect Pearls tocreate more interest and add some shimmer (it is a Christmas card, after all!).
For the die cut sentiment I used one of the dies in the the coordinating set to the The Penguin’s Waddle stamps – I love the greeting and the font is really great!

To decorate the card front a little more, I used the smaller images in the set (the fish and the fish bowl) and turned them into cute Christmas ornaments hanging from the top of my card! Aren’t they adorable?! This set is definitely one of my favorites from the release!

I added some Glossy Accents to the beaks of the penguins and that finished off the card.

My two favorites from this release have been the Puppy Tree and the Penguin Waddle sets and I couldn't decide which I liked best. Your card just pushed me over in favor of Penguin Waddle. 🙂

Love this card – all those adorable little penguins all dressed up! Thank you for doing a video too; always helps me to learn more to improve my coloring to see how the experts do it!

Hi Laura 🙂 I love penguins and it's extra terrific that you gave each one of these their own personalities!!! You made my day! Thanks for inspiring me 🙂
