Easy Trick for Watercolor Sky | Scrapbook.com December SVG File

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a winter card featuring the new December SVG file bundle by Scrapbook.com. The card is rather quick to make, it requires no coloring and, in the video tutorial at the end of this post, you will find a little hack for an easy watercolor background.

I started off by cutting two of the designs in the bundle with my ScanNCut machine. I shaded the outline cut out with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and then glued it to the other cut out. This way I to obtained the word December in my sentiment.

For the card background I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies. I paired them with the Heffy Doodle Stitched Slopey Joes dies to create a snowy hill. I shaded the hill with Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac, and used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon on the sky. Make sure to check out the video for a tip on how to transform an ink blended background in a watercolor one!

The snowfall effect on the sky was created by heat embossing the main image in the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrops stamp set with white embossing powder.
The images I used are part of the Lawn Fawn Winter in the Park stamp set, and were stamped with Scrapbook.com Premium Dye Black Ink.

As a last step, I heat embossed the “greetings” part of my sentiment and adhered everything to a white card base.
