Sunset on the Ocean Scene with Distress Inks feat MFT Seaside Seagulls

Hello everyone! Today I am back with a card and a video for you guys, for the Friday Funday Challenge #198 over at the Jo’s Scrap Shack blog!  This week’s sponsor is Di’s Digis, and you can enter your projects for a chance to win to win a 12$ voucher to the Di’s Digis store! I will tell you more at the end of this post, but for now let’s focus on today’s card πŸ™‚
For my card base I used Distress Inks, a stencil and some ocean border dies by My Favorite Things to create a sunset on the ocean type of scene. The images come from the Seaside Seagulls stamp set, also by My Favorite Things, and I have to say that I really love this set! Those seagull are so fun, and the sentiments just crack me up! I colored the images with my Spectrum Noir markers, for the sentiment I decided to do some heat embossing with my Wow white embossing powder.

You can see the whole card making process in the video tutorial I shared on my YouTube channel by clicking on this link. And don’t forget to let me know what you think about it!

And here is the list of supplies I used:

Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock
Heat Resistant Vellum (from Amazon)
My Favorite Things Seaside Seagulls Stamps
My Favorite Things Radiating Rays Stencil
My Favorite Things Ocean Waves Dies
Distress Inks: Spiced Marmelade, Dried Marigold, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire
Spectrum Noir Markers
Wow White Embossing Powder
Versamark Ink
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
KnorrPrandell Acrylic Block
Crelando Heat Gun
Tonic Studios Guillotine Trimmer
Tonic Studios Funky Tape Runner
Big Shot Die Cutting Machine

And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked my card and my video, and I will be back soon with more fun projects!

Oh my gosh Laura this card is too cute!!!! These seagulls are so so cute and I love that sunray stencil!!! I must get it!! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful sunset project over the ocean! It reminds me of the nature's beauty. Don't know if you knew this or not, but I catch tons of sunsets all the time over the water as I live at the shore coast along the ocean and bayside. πŸ™‚
    Hugs,
    Jo
