Interactive Winter Card feat MFT Peek-a-Boo Wheel

Hi everyone! Today’s post is extra special to me, because I am joining the My Favorite Things Team as a Guest Designer for the MFT&Friends Feature, to celebrate the November 2018 release! I still can’t quite believe that this is really happening, and I want to start this post by thanking My Favorite Things for this amazing opportunity! Make sure to pop over the MFT blog to see more inspiration with this wonderful release!
For today’s card I used the new Peek-a-Boo Wheel Die-Namics and the Beary Best Friends stamp set. The set is full of cute images and lovely winter themed sentiments, and the die set is simply fantastic! It’s very easy to use, and the result is really fun! I can’t wait to create more cards with it!

On my front panel I created a little scene by doing some masked stamping and some ink blending with Distress Oxides. I used My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid Ink to stamp the images, and some repositionable packaging labels for the masks.

To create the water waves I blended Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxides over the My Favorite Things Drifts and Hills Stencil. For the sky I used Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch. I then diluted some Ranger Perfect Pearls in the color Perfect Pearl with some water, and used this solution to create shimmery stars on my sky. I simply picked up the water with a small paintbrush and flicked the brush over my background.
After I was done ink blending I peeled off the masks and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen to add sparkle to the moon and the ice floats, and a white gel pen to draw in some stars and water ripples around the ice floats and the fishing hook.

I then used the My Favorite Things Peek-a-Boo Wheel Die-Namics to create all the elements for my interactive card. I would suggest that you watch the video down below to see exactly how I did that, as this is probably the easiest way to understand how the die works. As I said, it is easy to use, and I look forward to creating more fun projects with it!
Before assembling the card I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide in Festive Berries over the backround panel. It is a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock cut to an A2 size.
I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock with white embossing powder, and glued it to the card front.

I mounted everything on a top folding A2 card base, and, for an extra fun touch I decorated the inside of the card as well, using one more image and one more sentiment from the Beary Best Friends stamp set. I stamped the bear with Distress Oxide in Iced Spruce and the sentiment with Distress Oxide in Festive Berries

And that’s my card for today! Make sure to check out the video below to see how I used the new My Favorite Things Peek-a-Boo Wheel to create this fun card! Wow, great card! Beautiful ink blending on the background; the night sky looks fantastic. I love the interactive wheel where the bear is contemplating all the fish he's hoping to catch! Thanks for the tutorial – it was very helpful.

Congratulations on being a guest designer! It is a well-deserved honor, because this card is fabulous. I also really enjoyed your video explaining your thought and production process. I love how you masked off the fish so that the bear is thinking of 1, then 2, then 3, then managing to catch one. So much fun! Thanks for sharing.
