Inspirational Valentine Card feat Lawn Fawn and Scrapbookcom

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I created with the Scrapbook.com Exclusive You and Me Quotes and Sayings. This set is full of amazing sentiments that you can use on cards for a friend, for your partner, or in general for a loved one, and the one that I chose today really resonates with me. Let everything you do be done in love is a great reminder and, in my opinion, something to live by.

I kept the card pretty simple because I wanted the sentiment to be the star of the show. I started by die cutting a heart with the Lawn Fawn Lacy Heart Stackables from one of the Scrapbook.com Exclusive Flat Card Bases. I used the Scrapbook.com Black Premium Hybrid Ink pad to stamp the sentiment in the center of the heart, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I then used my Stencil Blending Brushes to add some color to the die cut. I blended Distress Oxides in Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar. I blended the Oxides so that I would have the lighter shades at the center of the heart and the darker ones towards the edges.

For my card base I took another Flat Card base and did some repeated stamping with one of the little heart images that come in the You and Me Quotes and Sayings stamp set. I stamped the image all over the card base with Versamark ink, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I used again my Stencil Blending Brushes to blend Distress Oxide in Spun Sugar over the entire panel.

In order to add a stitched detail to my card front, I ran it through my Big Shot Express with the largest die in the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I then die cut a strip of vellum with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border and adhered it to the card front. I glued the heart on top and mounted everything on one of the Scrapbook.com pre-cut and pre-scored card bases.

And that’s my card for today! I really hope you guys liked it- I personally love the sentiment and I think I will hang it in my craft room for motivational purposes πŸ™‚
