Hi everyone! Today I am back with a post and a video showing the unboxing of the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. In the video I will also show you how to use this tool to create a beautiful card!
In case you are not familiar with it, the Glimmer Hot Foil System is a machine that allows you to add foiling to your projects. You can use it to foil paper, cardstock, ribbon, leather, fabric and chipboard.
The system is meant to be used with a die cutting machine, like for example the Spellbinders Platinum (you can find a Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine and Glimmer Hot Foil Accessory Kit at Scrapbook.com – as I am writing this post it is on sale too π ).
For a list of all compatible models you can check the Spellbinders store.
The machine comes with two Hot Foil Rolls, a silver and a rose gold one, and with two Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. These are metallic plates that allow you to add foiled designs to your projects. In the picture above you can see how I used them to create an all occasion card – really pretty, right? In this case I did some foiling on gray cardstock with the rose gold foil. I then matted the panel with white and wine red cardstock, and added some Nuvo Drops. And…done! A very elegant design in just a few steps.
If you are interested in finding out more about this fun product, you can watch the video below. And if you have any questions make sure to leave them in the comments!
As I mentioned in the video I have shared some inspiration and some fun techniques that can be used with the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. I will link to the blog posts here for you so that you can check them out. π
And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful! Let me know in the comments below if you have ever tried foiling – I have just started playing with it and I love it!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
