No-line Watercolor with Gansai Tambi | Studio Katia Kind Bouquet

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a post and a video showing how to create a floral birthday card! Today I decided to experiment with the no-line watercolor technique, and for my focal image I chose the gorgeous florals in the Studio Katia Kind Bouquet stamp set.

I started by stamping the image in the Kind Bouquet stamp set over some watercolor cardstock, using Inkon3 Fadeout ink. I then painted the flowers with my Gansai Tambi Watercolors and, once the painting was done, I die cut them with the coordinating dies.
For more details about watercoloring with the no-line technique you can watch the video at the end of this post.

I then created a quick background by applying a light wash of watercolor on some more watercolor cardstock, that I die cut with the Scallop Hearts Cover die. I added some extra detail with the Brush Stroke Waves stencil and Distress Oxide in Antique Linen
For my base layer, I die cut some more watercolor cardstock using the Darling Ribbon and Frames dies and blended Distress Oxides in Aged Mahogany and Tattered Rose on its edges.

As a last step I stamped one of the sentiments in the Blooming Bunch stamp set with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide, and that finished off my card.

If you would like to see the card making process in more detail, you can watch the video down below!
