Hi everyone! Today I am back with a watercolor beach scene I created with my White Nights watercolors and stamps by Lawn Fawn.
The card is actually part of a video hop with giveaways, so make sure to watch the video and hop along for your chance to win prizes donated by our sponsor, The Little Paper Tree.
I wanted to try my hand at creating my own watercolor scene, so I started painting my background on some Canson XL watercolor cardstock. It was actually easier than I thought (you have to try it, it’s fun), and I am so glad that I pushed myself and experimented with something new!
I then moved on and started working on my images. I stamped them with Distress Oxide in Antique Linen and painted them with my White Nights Watercolors. I also added some detail with my Prismacolor Pencils.
All the images are by Lawn Fawn, from the Life is Good, Cheery Christmas and Starry Nights stamp sets. Once I was done coloring, I cut everything through my ScanNCut machine. Coordinating dies are available too, and you will find them in the supply list at the end of this post.
I glued everything to some vanilla cardstock and stamped the sentiment with Distress Oxide in Brushed Corduroy.
I really recommend you watch the tutorial for an in depth description of the card making process and on how to paint a beach scene with watercolors. And don’t forget to enter the giveaway!
