Acetate Window Card for a Birthday | Studio Katia Kobi Makes a Wish

Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am going to share with you an acetate window card with some fun birthday stamp sets by Studio Katia.
To color in all the images, I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I heat embossed all the images with clear embossing powder: the balloons from the Birthday Balloons Vertical set were stamped with Versamark ink, and the rest of the images and the sentiment were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

To add some shimmer to the card, I used a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen over the birthday balloons and the gifts. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies to the Kobi Makes a wish stamp set, and the panel with the balloons with the Darling Ribbon&Frames die and the Trimmings Border dies. And if you are wondering, the sentiment is part of the It’s Your Birthday stamp set.

The card base where the sentiment is was also die cut with the Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frames. I also used that same rectangle die to cut some acetate, that I glued behind the panel with the balloons. The steps that I used to build this acetate window card are shown in detail in the video at the end of this post.

As a last step I adhered all the images, some on the card front, and some on the card base. I made sure that the ones that were adhered on the card base would be hidden when the card is closed, so that there is a nice surprise effect πŸ™‚

And that’s the card for today! If you are interested to see how you can recreate it, you can watch the video tutorial down below. And don’t forget to subscribe to my channel for more cardmaking inspiration!
