DIY Picture Frame | Christmas Gift Idea with ModaScrap Happy FrameDies and XMas LE Papers

Hi everyone! Today I am back to celebrate Christmas in July with a DIY picture frame, that I created with the ModaScrap Happy Frame dies and the Xmas LE paper collection. You can also find a video tutorial, where I show you the step by step process to create this fun papercraft project, that can be used as home decor, or as a handmade Christmas present.

For the frame itself I used a
striped patterned paper from the 12×12″ XMas LE collection, and
I backed it with another design from the same paper pad. It reminds
me of snowfall and I loved the touch of red!

For the tree I used the Christmas Tree Box die. I chose the design with the pine needles, as it seemed quite appropriate, and I added some droplets with the ModaScrap Fluffy in Brillant White. These will mimic the look of falling snow and will add some subtle sparkle to the project.

In the same Christmas Tree Box
die set there are dies that cut out a banner with some stars. I cut
two out of the ModaScrap Woodstock White 12×12″ paper, and
coated them with my Fluffy in Brillant White using a flat paintbrush.

I also die cut some snowflakes
from the same Woodstock White 12×12″ paper with the Snowflakes
set dies. I coated those too with my Fluffy in Brillant White and I
used them to add detail to several areas in the frame.

I then used the Dashing Rectangle
Dies to cut some white paper, as well as the red plaid design and one
of the sentiment tags in the XMas LE collection. I layered them
together and I stamped the sentiment “qui foto” (picture
here) from the Album stamp set. The ink I used is Memento in the
color London Fog.

To accent the panel with the
sentiment, I decided to use one of the images from the ModaScrap
Unconventional Christmas stamp set.

I stamped it with Memento ink in
London Fog on some ModaScrap Woodstock White paper, colored it with
Prismacolor Pencils, and thendie cut it with the coordinating dies. I
also stamped and die cut the word joy, from the same stamp set.

I
assembled everything as you see it in the pictures, and that finished
off my Christmas themed project!
