Spectember day 17 – Build a Scene | Halloween Card feat MFT Spooktacular Friends

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I made for day 17 of Spectember. If you haven’t heard of it yet, Spectember is a month long celebration of all things Spectrum Noir. There are daily prompts for your creations, discounts, and prizes, too! Make sure to join the Spectrum Noir Connoisseurs Facebook group and share your projects with the hashtag #spectember! You might also want to check out this post for more details.

Today’s prompt is Build a Scene (my favorite type of card!) and I just had to create a Halloween Card with the My Favorite Things Spooktacular Friends stamp set! I stamped the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Proof Black ink and colored them with my Spectrum Noir Original markers. I used my markers to color the moon, too.

I used the MFT Snow Drifts Cover-Up Die-Namics to die cut some black cardstock and create the hills. I used the same die to cut some Bristol Smooth cardstock, over which I bleded Distress Inks to add color to the hills and the sky. I used my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors to add some shimmery stars to the sky.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and used the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut a banner around it. I finished off the card by glueing everything to an orange panel, that I die cut with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

And that’s my card for today! I really hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration for a cute Halloween card, and I hope you will join the Spectember fun in the Spectrum Noir Connoisseurs Facebook group!

Have a spooktacular day everyone!
