Hi everyone! Today I am back with the third and final card in my One Stamp Set Three Ways mini series! YAY! If you missed part one and two you can find them here and here.
All cards feature the same stamps and dies as well as the same design, but I used different colors and different techniques on each one! Make sure to let me know which one is your favorite and why!
This post is also part of Jenn Shurkus Get Cracking on Christmas. This is a super fun, monthly event where we are sharing some Christmas card making inspiration. You can create along and if you enter your Christmas cards on Jenn’s blog, you will also enter the giveaway that she is hosting! I think this is a wonderful way to get started on our holiday cards and to give some love to our Christmas supplies throughout the year!
My card today features the Mama Elephant Warm and Fuzzy Hugs stamps and it is super easy! Let’s have a look at how I made it – there is a video too!
CARD BACKGROUND
For the background of my card I decided to do some ink blending with Distress Oxides. I cut some Bristol Smooth Cardstock to 4.25 by 5.5 inches and created a gradient with Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxides.
For the woodland scene I die cut some glitter cardstock with the Winter Forest Cover Die and glued it on my sky background.
IMAGES
The image I used today is part of the Mama Elephant Warm and Fuzzy Hugs stamp set. For my previous two cards in the series I used Prismacolor pencils, but today I went with my Illustrator markers instead. I stamped it with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Proof Black ink on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and tried to use a color palette that would create some contrast with my background. Here is a list of the markers I used
FEMALE BUNNY
Fur: TN2, TN1, FS6
Coat and Shoes: CR7, CR5, CR1
Scarf and Trousers: GT3, GT2, GT1
MALE BUNNY
Fur: TN5, TN3, TN2, TN1
Coat and Shoes: DR5, CR10,CR5, CR1,
Hood: BT9, GT3, GT2, GT1
Jeans: BGR4, VB3, VB2, VB1
SENTIMENT
The die I used for the sentiment is the Mama Elephant Big Warm Fuzzy Hugs die. I used it to cut some glitter cardstock and some Bristol Smooth Cardstock as well. Before die cutting the Bristol Smooth cardstock I did ink blending again with Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon, to match the colors of my sky.
I created a drop shadow effect by adhering the two sentiment die cuts slightly shifted with respect to each other.
I adhered everything to a top-folding A2 card base and that finished off my card!
As I mentioned, here is the video tutorial I created for you, sharing how to make this cute Christmas card featuring the Mama Elephant Warm and Fuzzy Hugs Stamp set. You can watch it down below or directly on my YouTube channel!
I will also link again to my other two posts in this One Stamp Set Three Ways series, if you’d like to have a look!
Let me know if you enjoyed this format and if you’d like to see it again with different supplies!
Thank you all for stopping by and have a great day!
