Easy Brush Strokes Card Background

Hi everyone! It’s Laura here and today I am back to share how to create a floral card with an easy brush strokes background. There is also a video at the end of this post, which shows the entire process.

The floral stamp set I used for this card is the gorgeous Peony Trimmings set. I stamped it with black waterproof ink on some Bristol Smooth Cardstock and I colored it with Arteza markers. I then cut it out with the coordinating dies.

Background

My card background is some Bristol Smooth Cardstock that I die cut with the Dotted Patterns set 1 dies. I quickly created this brush strokes look using the Brush Strokes Stripes stamp set. I layered different colors of ink to create the shade I was looking for.

Sentiment and Finishing Touches

The sentiment was created by combining the Happy stamp set with one of the stamps in the Peony Trimmings stamp set. I stamped the word happy directly on the background and heat embossed the rest of the greeting with white embossing powder on black cardstock. I used the Peony Trimmings die set to create the banner.

I glued everything on an A2 background that I cut with the Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frames dies and finished off the card with some Icy Sparkle Crystals and a glitter brush pen.
