Bark Less, Play More! Slimline Scene with Heffy Doodle Stamps

Hi everyone! Today I am back with another slimline scene card featuring products from the Heffy Doodle July 2020 release!
This time I used stencils rather than dies to create my landscape and I absolutely love the result! I adore all the scene building stencils by Heffy Doodle, and I was very excited for the release of the Green Fields Stencil this past July!

The images I used for today’s card are part of the Hot Diggity Dog [HD | SBC]and Who Let the Dogs Out [HD | SBC] stamp sets. These sets are SO fun and work just perfectly together! I stamped the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Proof Black Ink and colored them with Illustrator alcohol markers. Once I was done coloring, I die cut them all with the Hot Diggity Dog [HD | SBC] and Who Let the Dogs Out [HD | SBC] coordinating dies.

For my card background, I used dies in the Slimline Pull Tab Dies and Stitched Slimline Trio Dies. I die cut some Cookie Monster [HD | SBC] cardstock with the largest slimline stitched rectangle die and some watercolor cardstock with the slimline scallop rectangle die. I then did some ink blending to create the grass and the sky. I used the Green Fields [HD | SBC] and Cloudy Skies [HD | SBC] stencils and Wendy Vecchi Blendable Inks in the colors Garden Patina, Prickly Pear and Fern Green.

I  used the Close the Gate Die [HD | SBC] to create a wooden gate. I die cut the shapes out of some watercolor cardstock and added color and shading with Wendy Vecchi Blendable Inks in the colors Potting Soil and Watering Can.

I created some tree branches with the Forest Builder Dies [HD | SBC] and the Coordinating Dies to the Fluffy Puffy Unicorn stamp set [HD | SBC]. I stamped the sentiment directly on my card base and glued everything down to create my playful scene.

As a finishing touch, I added some highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen and coated the eyes of the doggies with a black Glaze Pen.

And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed this post and liked this colorful and happy card I created with products from the Heffy Doodle July 2020 Release!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
