Hi everyone! Today I am back to share a fun 3D spooky house that I created using the Scrapbook.com Little Houses SVG file! This is such a great pack, full of cut files to create different houses! I used it last year, too, and made a Christmas themed card! I love how it turned out and you can check it out at this link!
The file is part of the current World Cardmaking Day Sales at Scrapbook.com! So this is a great chance to grab yours at a discounted price and to look for some more bargains, too!
And now let’s have a look at how I created this spooky house!
Walls and Roof
I started by cutting some watercolor cardstock using the SVG files for the tall house (there is a shorter house too that you can create). I then added color to all the elements with Distress Oxides. I used Hickory Smoke and Black Soot for the chimney and the walls. For the roof and the window frames, I used Seedless Preserves.
I then started creating texture on the house. I started by using the Lawn Fawn Brick Stencil with my Distress Oxides. I added a brick pattern just in a few areas, and then repeated the same step, this time with Crackle Paste by Ranger (such a fun product!).
Windows and Door
For the windows and the door I used again Distress Oxide in Seedless Preserves. I backed them with some acetate, that I stained in a yellow green hue with an alcohol marker.
I glued them to the house and used Crackle Accents to create some spooky cracks in the windows.
As an extra detail, I created a door handle with Nuvo Drops in Ebony Black.
Spooky Decorations
I then decided to decorate the house even further, and for that I used the Lawn Fawn Build A House Halloween Add On set. I added bats, spiderwebs, ghosts and creepy crawlies all over the place, to make the house even more spooky (and a little bit cute, too!)
And here’s another look at the final result! Don’t you love it? I really do!
Before I go, I wanted to let you know that today’s card is part of an Instagram Hop ! So make sure to head over there to see the rest of the spooky houses that were created for the hop and to find out how to win a 25$ GC to Scrapbook.com!
