Hello everyone! Today I am back to show you a card I made using stamps from the Craftin Desert Divas Get Wild set. I think this set is really great, it’s packed full of cute images, and there are just so many ways in which you can use it! From clean and simple to scene cards – it’s really just up to you!
I wanted this card to tell a story, and I thought I could achieve that by creating windows to frame some of the images and adding the main image to my card base. I wanted the windows to look like pictures showing the adventures of the little guy in the 4×4.
I started off by coloring some of the images in the set with my Spectrum Noir markers, trying to stick to neutral tones. I used Neenah Solar white cardstock, and my Silhouette Portrait to cut out the image outlines.
For my card front I used some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and the smallest from the Craftin Desert Divas Inside Scalloped Squares dies to create some windows. For the inside of the windows I used some Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolor cardstock and did some ink blending with Distress Inks. I used Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive, and my Ranger mini ink blender.
I glued the front of my card to the watercolor cardstock, and then I adhered the critters, the leaves, and the cute guy to my card front. I used liquid glue so that I would have some room to wiggle my images in place and have them exactly where I want them.
For my sentiment I used one of the dies in the Craftin Desert Divas Flag Banner Dies set to cut a banner out of some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. I adhered the banner with some more liquid glue and added a few more leaves for some extra interest.
