Add Embellishments to Your Cards wit Nuvo Drops – C.C. Designs January 2019 Release

Hi everyone! The new C.C. Designs release is now LIVE – and it is a fantastic one! It’s packed full of great products – cute rubber and clear stamps, background stamps, dies and stencils! To celebrate this fantastic release I decided to create a fun a cheerful card. It can be used as a Valentine’s day card with a non-traditional palette. I started by die cutting some yellow cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. 
I then used the Scrapbook.com Stencil Brushed and blended some Distress Oxide in Wild Honey through the new Honeycomb stencil. So fun!

I then stamped one of the images in the new Cutie Bug Clead Stamps. I stamped it twice on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and did some coloring with Spectrum Noir markers. I added some eyelashes to the one I colored in pink, as I wanted that to be the lady in the little couple I created for the card.
When I was done coloring the images I die cut them with the Cutie Bug Outline Dies.

I then used the In and Out Rectangle Metal Dies to die cut some black cardstock and create a frame for this sweet bug couple! 😁 I glued the frame on the base panel with some Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and raised the two bugs on some foam tape.

I stamped the love you sentiment from the Love You Sentiments Clear Stamps with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. 
And then…I went crazy with my Nuvo Drops! I used Caribbean Ocean and Carnation Pink and scattered them throughout the entire card base. I added drops in different sizes and I have to say that I love the look they give to the card! It matches perfectly the whimsical look of the images!

I also added some Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew to the eyes of the bugs, as well as to the antennae and the ribbon on the boy bug. For the antennae and the ribbon on the girl bug I used Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard as I wanted to add some glitter too.

I mounted everything on a top-folding A2 card base, and that finished off my card.
