Watercolor Rainbow with Distress Inks – C.C. Designs Unicorns

Hi everyone! It’s day 3 of the C.C. Designs Release Preview Week, and today I am sharing a card I created with the super adorable Unicorns stamp set! I am literally IN LOVE with the cute images in this set…plus, unicorns! 😍 What’s there not to love? And because there is no unicorn without a rainbow I created one using Distress Inks.

I die cut some Ranger Watercolor carstock with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Dies and I used the new Cutie Doodle Rubber Stamp to create a pattern on this panel. I stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.
I then used a large brush to wet my panel with clean water and created my own Distress Ink watercolor rainbow. I used Candied Apple, Spiced Marmelade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry. I set the panel aside to dry and started working on my images.

I stamped two of the unicorns in the new C.C. Designs Unicorns stamp set on Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. I used Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Black ink and colored the images with my Copic markers (thanks, Santa! 😜). I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I used the Mama Elephant Landscape Trio Dies to cut out a cloud border from white cardstock and vellum. I did the same with the Lawn Fawn Simple Puffy Clouds and used them to create my scene.

I added some glitter to the unicorns’ hair with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen. I also added some Crystal Stickles to the horns, as well as glossy accents to the eyes and the hoofs.

I stamped and the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder by WOW!. I die cut some black cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackable Dies and mounted everything on a top folding A2 card base.
