Stencils THREE WAYS | Video Collab with Mona Toth feat Heffy Doodle + Discounts + Giveaway

Hi everyone! Today I am super excited to be back with a card and a video I created for a collaboration with my sweet and talented friend Mona Tóth! If you don’t know her, make sure to check out her social media (she is @mona.toth on Instagram), because she is AMAZING! She shares lots of great photography tips and her cards are always SO creative! She is one of my favorite crafters and I couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration!

For this fun collab we decided to create a card using the same color palette and products by Heffy Doodle. We both love cute designs and you can find lots of those in the Heffy Doodle range! Heffy Doodle was also so kind to decide to sponsor a giveaway on our YouTube channels – I will tell you more about that and about some interesting deals at the end of this post!

For my card today I used the Bots of Love stamp set – I am a bit of a nerd and this set really speaks to the geeky part of my soul! I stamped the images with Versafine Onyx black ink on Bristol Smooth Cardstock and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut them with my scissors (coordinating dies are available too, if you prefer that option).

For the yellow tag I used the Mark My Words Dies to cut some Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I blended Distress Oxides in Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seeds over the entire surface, and then I used the Heffy Doodle Cogs & Code stencil and Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone to add glitter and texture.

For the middle panel I used one of the dies in the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames Dies and the Love Circuit stencil, also by Heffy Doodle. I first added shading and color to the panel with Distress Oxides in Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose. I then applied Nuvo Mousse in Lemon Sorbet through my stencil to create a fun and metallic-looking circuit on my panel.

The base panel was cut with the rectangle die in the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames Dies. I created a base layer with Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry, and then used the Cogs & Code stencil to add some cogs to the side of the panel. I first blended those same Distress Oxides through the stencil and then, to add some shimmer, I spritzed my Nuvo Mica Mists in Turkish Rose over the stencil.

I heat embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder and cut a strip around it with the Stitched Strips of Ease. I then blended Distress Oxides in Weathered Wood and Black Soot on the sentiment strip, so that the greeting would show.

I glued everything to my card base, raising the sentiment strip and the robots over one layer of foam tape. I added a coat of Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen over the robots and some details with a white Gelly Roll Pen.

I decorated the inside of my card with the leftover images and a second sentiment banner (promptly added to hide a stamping mishap), and that finished off my project.
As I mentioned, there is a video tutorial for you, showing three ways to use stencils on your cards. You can watch it down below or directly on my YouTube channel. And don’t forget that this video is part of a collaboration with Mona Tóth, so make sure you check out her video too! You can find it here
