Masculine Birthday Card | My Favorite Things BB Sweater Weather in the Woods

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I created following the latest Sketch Challenge on the My Favorite Things blog. I have always loved joining card making challenges: they stretch your creative muscles and in my case they give me an excuse to use more of the stamps that I buy. 😁
This card here is an example, as it features one of the stamp sets from the MFT September release, which I hadn’t been able to use yet. Now my conscience is clean and I go ahead and buy more 😜

The images I used are part of the MFT Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set. I stamped them on vanilla cardstock with Spectrum Noir Black Alcohol Proof ink and colored them with my Illustrator markers.

For the background I stamped the All Lined Up stamp on some red cardstock and I shaded its edges with Distress Oxide in Black Soot. The panel was cut a little bit smaller than the standard A2 size and then glued on my card base, over which I had also blended some Distress Oxide in Black Soot.

For the card design I followed this week’s sketch on the MFT blog, using some vanilla cardstock for the central panel and some black cardstock for the thin strips on its sides.
I used the Happy Birthday Circle Frame Die-namics to die cut some more black cardstock.
And that’s my card for today! As I said, I will be entering it in the MFT sketch challenge and in the Simon Says Stamp challenge, too!
I do hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration for a masculine birthday card and I wish you a great day!

The items marked with a * were sent to me for free for designing purposes.
