Handmade Gift Card Holder for Christmas | ModaScrap Holiday 2019 Release

Hi everyone! Today I am back to share with you some Christmas inspiration using products from the latest ModaScrap release.
Gift cards are increasingly common and I thought it would be nice to add a personal touch to them, so I decided to create some handmade gift card holders. As always, you can find a video tutorial too for today’s projects, in case you are interested.
The fist project I am going to share with you today is a card and gift holder set that I created with the Forever Green 12×12″ paper pad and its coordinating stamp set.
For the gift card itself I used the Gift Card Holder die. I decorated it with images from the Forever Green stamp set and I also used some Fluffy in Old Linen to add a glaze to the reindeer.

I stamped the sentiment for you from the Santa Claus stamp set on the front of the envelope, and I really love the way this stamp looks.

I decorated the inside of the envelope using another die in the Gift Card Holder set. This cuts a rectangle with two slots on opposite corners, where you can insert your gift card. I used the die to cut one of the journaling cards in the Forever Green paper pad, so that when the recipient removes the gift card, they will find a surprise greeting.
I then quickly created a coordinating card using more papers from the Forever Green paper pad and the same reindeer that I have on the gift card holder. I used the Dashing Rectangles to and the Dashing Circles for the base and the focal panel, respectively. The sentiment is also part of the Forever Green stamp set, and I love it!

For my second project, I wanted to show you how you can also directly incorporate the gift card holder to to a handmade card. In this case I used the Good Cheer for Christmas paper pad, its coordinating stamp set, and the Santa Claus and Snowflakes Set dies.

With very little stamping and no coloring, this card came together really quickly. I die cut a rectangle out of the paper with the snowflake design and I layered it over a panel of dark red patterned paper.
I die cut my gift card holder out of another of the papers in the set and I decorated it with images from the Good Cheer For Christmas and dies from the Santa Claus die set.

The “is coming to town” part of the sentiment is from the Santa Claus set and was stamped directly on the gift card holder with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. For the trees I used Distress Oxide in Aged Mahogany.

I created two snowflakes out of the ModaScrap Woodstock White paper and I coated them with my Fluffy in Brillant White using a flat brush. I glued them behind the gift card holder to add some extra interest to the card.
For the inside of the gift card holder I used again one of the journaling cards in the Good Cheer for Christmas paper pad and the rectangle die in the Gift Card Holder set.

And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration with the ModaScrap Xmas 2019 release.
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
