Hi everyone! Today I am back with another cute card in my scene building series on the Heffy Doodle blog!
For today’s card I decided to mix and match three different stamp sets for even more cuteness! I used the Hello Squeekheart, the Honey Bunny Boo and the Veggie Patch stamp sets. I love using different sets on my cards, it is a lot of fun and it makes me get the most out of my supplies!
Background
I started by creating the elements for my scene. I die cut some watercolor cardstock with the Grassy Lass Border dies and I did some ink blending with Spectrum Noir Water Reactive Harmony Inks. I used Spring Meadow and Holly Leaf and sprayed the borders with some water to add a distressed look.
I then moved on and started working on the sky. I die cut some watercolor cardstock with the Imperial Stitched Rectangle dies and I ink blended the whole area with Spectrum Noir ink in the color Lemon Tonic.
I then used the Rays the Roof stencil and Spectrum Noir Ink in the color Honew Dew to create some rays in the sky. I added some sparkle with InkOn3 Liquid Pixie Dust.
Images
As I mentioned, the images I used for my card are part of the Hello Squeekheart, the Honey Bunny Boo and the Veggie Patch stamp sets. I stamped them with InkOn3 Blackout Ink on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and I colored them with Illustrator Markers. Here is a list of the markers I used:
- Bunnies: RB4,RB3, RB1
- Mice: TN5, TN3, TN1
- Aubergine: AG5, AG3, AG1. PV5, PL4, PL3, PL2, PL1
- Tomato: AG5, AG3, AG1, DR7, DR6, DR4, DR2
- Onion: AG3, AG1, BP7, BP6, BP4, BP2
- Corn: AG5, AG3, AG1, BO1 ,CT4, CT2
- Pumpkin: AG5, AG3, AG1, BO4, BO3, BO2, BO1, GY2
- Gourd: AG5, AG3, AG1, GB3, GB1
- Carrot: AG5, AG3, AG1, BO4, OR3, OR2, OR1, BO1
I know, it’s a lot of coloring…but I put on a movie, took my time and enjoyed every single second of it!
Once I was done, I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
Sentiment and Finishing Touches
For the sentiment I used the Hey Heffy Cuts and one of the stamps in the Hello Squeekheart stamp set. I die cut the word hey out of some Blueberry Bliss cardstock and I heat embossed the rest of the sentiment with white embossing powder. I used one of the dies in the Tag Along set to create a flag banner and then I glued everything to my card base.
And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked the card and found this tutorial useful!
Thank you all for stopping by and have a great day!
