Slimline cards are all the rage these days, but they can take up more time to create than the traditional A2 size. Well, they don’t have to!
Today I am going to share with you how to make a cute and quick winter slimline card and how to add a touch of fun to it with some puffy snow! Stay tuned for a video at the end of this post!
The stamp set I used for this card is the adorable Happy Snowmen – I love this set so much and I couldn’t wait to finally be able to play with it! I stamped the images with Spectrum Noir Flagstone Ink and colored them with Illustrator alcohol markers. Here is a list of the colors I used
- Snowmen: TB1
- Snowmen Nose: OR3, OR2, GY2
- Snowmen Arms: EB4, EB2
- Black: IG9, IG7, IG5
- Purple: LV3, LV2, LV1
- Pink: MG5, MG3, MG1
Once I was done coloring, I cut the images with the Happy Snowmen coordinating dies.
I used the Dotted Slimline Set 2 to create the card base. I die cut some light blue and white cardstock and I glued them together.
For the sentiment I used stamps from the Poinsettia Border stamp set and I also added a few Iridescent Snowflakes to decorate the card.
Lastly, I used a Snow Marker to add some puffy snow under the snowmen and the tree. This is a seemingly small detail, but I promise that it really brings the whole card to another level!
