Hi everyone! Today I am absolutely thrilled to be joining a blog hop to celebrate the new Colorado Craft Company release! I have been loving their Anita Jeram line and I was so excited to get a chance to play with their new stamps!
For my card today I used the new Amazing Mom stamp set…so cute and just perfect for a mother’s day card.

FOCAL IMAGE
Since the image in this set is so cute, I decided to keep the card design pretty simple. I stamped the image and the sentiment with alcohol-proof black ink and did some coloring with my Illustrator markers.
I kept the color palette pretty vibrant, as I was going for a happy and bright look!
CARD BACKGROUND
I used my alcohol markers to color in the sky and the grass, too. To create the look of grass blades, I used flicking motions with my wrist.
When I was done coloring I added some clouds with a white colored pencil.
CARD BASE AND FINISHING TOUCHES
For the card background I used a pre-cut colored cardstock card base and I stamped one of the patterns in the Stripes and Dots Background stamps. I used a white pigment ink to break up the solid color of the background.
I also added some fun adding details with a white gel pen – I really love customizing my cards and these polka dots are super easy to add.

This whole Colorado Craft Company release is so uplifting, and what do we need more than anything right now…but the Love Art set really captures the feeling of fellowship and community we share as artists and papercrafters, so if I have to choose, this one is my fave. This is a tough choice. I think the Love Art set is my favorite. I love the quotes around the edge. I also like “Amazing Mom” a lot. I also love the little tiny “The Artist” stamp.

This is such a fabulous card- I love the colors and characters! I think it would be so funny to add a fly in the picture so that the dusting Mama would be chasing the fly away from her children. Just a thought LOL.

Colorado Craft Company has such great stamp sets and it is so hard to stop with just one! I am partial to the Proud of You set but this set is cute too. I like how you used one of theirs on the cardstock as well. They give you a great jumping off point and allow you to customize and get creative at the same time!
