Hi everyone! Today I am back with a cute Spring card that I created with products from the latest Studio Katia release! As you may have seen on Facebook, the new products were released yesterday, and today we are celebrating with a hop with giveaways! You will find more details at the end of this post, but for now let’s have a look at this cute Spring card, perfect for all occasions!
MAKING A CUTE SPRING CARD
The main set I used is the new Studio Katia Honey Bees, which I paired with the Potted Plants stamp set – nothing says Spring like bees and flowers! I stamped the images with Spectrum Noir Black Alcohol Proof Ink and colored them with Illustrator markers. Once I was done, I die cut everything with the coordinating dies.
I then moved on and started working on my background. For the card base I die cut some yellow cardstock with the Darling Ribbon & Frames dies. I stamped the image from the new Zig Zag Stripes background stamp using my Misti and Distress Oxide in the color Wild Honey. I chose this ink color in order to achieve a subtle, almost tone on tone look.
For the rest of the die cut elements on this card I used dies in the Dotted Patterns – Set 4 dies and cut some white and black cardstock. This way the color palette on my card matches the bees and contributes to the Spring feel I wanted to create.
For my sentiment I used one of the greetings in the Peony Trimmings stamp set. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and used one of the dies in the Peony Trimmings dies to create a banner. As a last step, I decorated my card with Exotic Onyx Pearls.
