Elegant Foil Christmas Card | Christmas Foiled Basics by Yana Smakula

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a clean and elegant Christmas card featuring Hot Foil Plates from the Spellbinders Christmas Foil Basics by Yana Smakula. The card is really quick and easy to make and features hot foiling and dry embossing.

As a first step, I foiled the winter scene and my greeting on some Neenah 110lb cardstock. I used Gold Hot Foil by Spellbinders and plates from the Yana’s Christmas Sentiments and the Glimmer Winter Village sets.
You will also need the Glimmer Hot Foil System and a die cutting machine like the Spellbinders Platinum 6 to do your foiling.

I then die cut the sentiment with the coordinating dies and used the Circle Around set to die cut a circle around my winter scene.
For the background I used the Lucky Clouds die and die cut some Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock. I added a subtle pattern to it by dry embossing it with the Big Dot Embossing Folder, part of the FSJ Christmas 2020 Collection. By the way, did you see my video featuring the Spellbinders/FSJ Christmas Project Kit? If not, you can check it out here!

I adhered everything on an A2 white card base, using foam tape for added dimension.

And that’s my card for today! I really hope you enjoyed it – I have to say that I really love the elegant and simple look with that gold foil detail! Quick to make and really beautiful!
As always, thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
