Clean And Simple Christmas Card | Lawn Fawn A Creature was Stirring

CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHRISTMAS CARD | LAWN FAWN A CREATURE WAS STIRRING

What can I say, I really feel like patting myself on the shoulder today. I bought stamps set and I used TWO of them within a week of receiving them! πŸ˜€
I don’t know about you, but I tend to buy more stamps than I can craft! But not this time! πŸ˜€

This time I made a fall card with the Let’s Go Nuts stamp set (click here to see the card and the video) and today I am sharing a Christmas Card with the A Creature was Stirring stamp set [SBC | EH ]! Yay!

And why is that, you may ask? Well, because it is time to Get Cracking On Christmas! Thanks to the amazing Jenn Shurkus for organizing yet another day of fun Christmas inspiration – make sure to visit her blog for all the details and a giveaway!

There is also a video at the end of this post, so make sure to check it out for a step by step explaination! And now, let’s have a look at how I created this card!

The stamp set I used for this card is the new A Creature was Stirring by Lawn Fawn [SBC | EH ] – I think it is so, so cute with these little mice baking! I just had to get it!
The images were stamped with InkOn3 Blackout ink on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and colored with Illustrator markers. Here is the list of markers I used

  • Gray: IG5, IG3, IG1
  • Pink: PP1, MG1, MG3
  • Teal: GT3, GT2, GT1
  • Light Brown: TN5, TN2
  • Dark Brown: TN9, TN7

Background

The background of my card is made up of different layers. The base is some white cardstock that I die cut with the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop die.
For the middle panel I used the Imperial Stitched Rectangles dies [SBC | EH] and the Lawn Fawn Snowflake Trio stencil [SBC | EH]. I applied Nuvo Glitter Paste in Moonstone through the stencil and created some glittery snowflakes

The third and final panel was die cut with the Heffy Doodle Stitched Circles. As a first step, I did some masked ink blending using Distress Inks. I used Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar on the top portion of the panel, and Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers on the lower one.
I then used the Lawn Fawn Brick Stencil [SBC | EH] and applied some Texture Paste by Ranger on the Wall.

Sentiment and Finishing Touches

For the sentiment banner I used the Heffy Doodle More Strips of Ease [SBC | EH] and Imperial Stitched Rectangles dies [SBC | EH]. The greeting itself is part of the Christmas Dreams stamp set, and was stamped with LDRS Creative ink in Tropical Sea.

Lastly, for a bit of added sparkle, I coated a few areas with Crystal Stickles and Stardust Stickles.
