Hi everyone! Today I am back with a super fun summer slimline card that I created for the Heffy Doodle blog! As I like to do, I mixed and matched several sets β some from the latest Heffy Doodle release and some that had been previously released β and I love the result!
I started by die cutting some cardstock using the Stitched Slimline Trio dies. I used Holy Mackerel cardstock for the base and some watercolor cardstock for the sky.
I added some blending to the sky with Distress Oxide in the color Salty Ocean and I created some clouds with the Head in the Clouds Stencil and some texture paste.
I created the waves out of some more watercolor cardstock, by combining the Slimline Stitched Trio dies with the Breaking Waves Dies. I blended Distress Oxides in Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio and added a few droplets for extra interest.
For the beach I used the Stitched Slopey Joes border dies and Distress Oxides in Antique Linen and Tea Dye. Also in this case, I added some droplets to create texture and interest.
For my images I used several Heffy Doodle Sets: Seal-y Friends, A Little Shellfish, Prehistoric Pals and Oceans of Love. I stamped everything with Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Black Ink and used my Illustrator alcohol markers for my coloring. Once I was done, I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
For my sentiment I used one of the greetings in the Seal-y Friends stamp set and the Hello Shadow Heffy Cuts. I used a glitter brush pen and Glossy Accents on the word hello, for some sparkle and shine. I also used Crystal Stickles and a white gel pen for some finishing touches.
And thatβs my card for today! Needless to say, I had so much fun creating it! I love these cute critters and I love how all the Heffy Doodle sets work together!
Thank you all for stopping by and have a great day!
