I am not sure if you saw it, but last week I shared a post where I showed how to create some quick backgrounds for your Christmas cards (click here if you missed it).
Well, today I am going to show you three different cards I made with them!
The cards all share the same design, with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Stackables Dies ( SBC ) for my background and the Scrapbook.com Merry Sentiments Stamp Set ( SBC ) for my greetings.
This was also an opportunity to try the new Gold ( SBC ) and Silver ( SBC ) Metallic inks by Scrapbook.com and I have to say that I really add the shimmer they added to my cards!
They are different from the metallic inks I have used so far (one example here). They are not super pigmented, but add a beautiful shimmery layer to your cards! It feels like having Perfect Pearls on an ink pad!
It’s hard to catch on camera, but I think you can get an idea of the beautiful look of these inks in the picture above, where I used the gold ink.
These pads can be used for stamping and I found that, rather than getting a solid impression, the ink seemed to pool a bit on the edges of the sentiment stamp I used. You may be able to get more uniform results by stamping multiple times, but I really loved the look of my sentiment, so I left it like that.
For the three cards I made I used the same design, and my ready made backgrounds.
I created a focal point with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables Dies ( SBC )…
…I added some cute Lawn Fawn Critters from the Den Sweet Den ( SBC ), Christmas Dreams ( SBC ) and A Creature Was Stirring ( SBC ) stamp sets…
…and for my sentiments I used the Merry Sentiments Stamp Set ( SBC ) and the banner die in the Snowflake Winter Wishes Die Set ( SBC ).
They turned out super cute and I can’t wait to send them out!
Check out this post for more Christmas inspiration with Lawn Fawn stamps and a video, too!
Thank you all for stopping by and have a great day!
